This data was collected for the research article titled "Capture of Magnetic Nanoparticles by Ferromagnetic Nanostructures Controlled via External Magnetic Fields", which will be published in the journal Magnetism. This dataset contains the magnetizations of 400 nm-diameter circular antidot array nanostructures modeled via MuMax3 (v3.10). From this data, models of the magnetophoretic forces acting upon a 150 nm-diameter magnetic nanoparticle were produced. This data is described in further detail in Simulation_Dataset_Guide.txt. This dataset also contains scanning electron microscope (SEM) images of 150 nm-diameter magnetic nanoparticles captured by ferromagnetic nanostructures hollowed into the surface of three 30-nm thick Permalloy (Ni80Fe20) films via focused ion beam (FIB) lithography. Four variations of the nanostructure geometry were imaged on each film: -Circle Antidots (400 nm diameter) -Circle Dots (400 nm diameter) -Square Antidots (400 nm x 400 nm) -Square Dots (400 nm x 400 nm) The nanoparticles were applied to the surface of the films via 4 µL droplets in one of three external magnetic fields: -No Field -Parallel Field (field applied in plane of nanostructure) -Perpendicular Field (field applied normal to plane of nanostructure) Each image is contained in a .tif format with the following naming convention: "geometry_field_number.tif", where geometry indicates the geometry of the nanostructure (e.g. Circle_Antidots), field indicates which of the three external magnetic fields was applied (e.g. No_Field), and number identifies the particular nanostructure amongst nanostructures with the same geometry.
